Sense-able Multi-Tech Wallbox Solutions

Using the correct energy saving devices in commercial environments creates less frustration for both the installer and customer alike. When your contractors need the combined features of motion and sound sensing, dimming, or switching control, they need to look no further than Leviton’s Smart Multi-Tech Dimming Wallbox Sensor.

Leviton’s Smart Wallbox Sensors provide energy savings and the versatility to easily meet the lighting control needs of a wide range of commercial applications including restrooms, lobbies, meeting rooms, storage rooms, telecommunications rooms, conference rooms, storage and dining areas, and offices.

All Smart Wallbox Sensors can be used to meet IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, and 2022 Title 24, Part 6 occupancy/vacancy sensing, dimming, and manual-ON and/auto-OFF requirements.

Leviton has expanded the line of Smart Wallbox Sensors to include multi-technology sensing. The new Smart Multi-Tech Wallbox Sensors feature passive infrared (PIR) technology and Microphonic technology. With PIR technology, the sensors detect minor motion up to 400 square feet and major motion up to 1,100 square feet to switch the lights on. The lights remain on until the occupant moves away from the sensor zone, or when the local-controlled adjustable timeout expires. The state-of-the-art microscopic microphone inside of the occupancy sensor “listens” for human activity and does not require a direct line-of-sight which enables the unit to sense activity from behind obstructions PIR-only devices cannot detect.

The Smart Muti-Tech Sensors fit standard single-gang electrical wall boxes and are compatible with other units. Configuration is made using the Leviton Smart Sensor App from a smartphone or other Bluetooth®-enabled Android or iOS device. Default configuration modes include Auto-ON/Auto-OFF, 20-minute timeout, and nightlight/daylighting disabled with sensitivity set to 75%. Combine these features with the Smart Sensor App to increase functionality. The app’s advanced configuration gives users the ability to:
  • Set a security code to lock the configuration settings.
  • Adjust the sensitivity and timeout lengths and create partial-ON and
    partial-OFF modes.
  • Activate the nightlight and choose preferred color.
  • Create custom templates to replicate settings in multiple rooms.
  • Enable the integrated photocell to target daylighting hold-OFF levels.
Models can include an optional antimicrobial agent within the plastic which inhibits staining, odor-causing bacteria, mold, fungus, and mildew that cause deterioration, and corrosion due to commercial cleaning methods.

Packed with features and a variety of configuration options, Smart Wallbox Sensors make it easy to meet the unique lighting control needs of multiple commercial applications with just a few models.
