The Smart Outdoor Plug-In Switch That Matters to Your Customers
Leviton’s innovative Decora smart family of home automation products takes another big step forward with the first Matter supported Smart Outdoor Plug-in switch. The Decora Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug-in switch provides remote ON/OFF control for outdoor loads such as holiday lights, patio lighting, fountains, landscape lighting, inflatables, and more via the MyLeviton App and a host of Matter supported smart devices.
As the market for smart devices grows, so does the need for these varied smart products to “talk” to each other. Here’s where Matter comes in, the Matter Standard enables devices from dispirit platforms to communicate. Consider a user being able to master outdoor applications with voice control using any enabled smart devices across different platforms. My Leviton, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, IFTTT, and Samsung SmartThings can all be enabled to work with the switch through Matter.
Some of the many features of the Decora Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug-in you will want to highlight for your customers include a built-in light sensor that can be set to automatically turn lights on at night and off during daylight hours. It is also IP65 rated to protect from dirt, moisture, UV corrosion and extreme temperatures (-20°to 122° F). More-so, the Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug-in Switch requires no wiring and easily plugs in to any available 120VAC outlet.
