Leviton has changed all of that with a simple solution, the recently released Decora Smart Wire-Free Anywhere Companions. These devices enable the addition of 3-way switches and dimmers without additional wiring, they adhere to the wall! |
The wire-free Anywhere Companions pair with the home’s primary Decora Smart® Wi-Fi (2nd Gen) dimmers, switches and mini-plug-ins to control lights within a 50-ft. range. The Anywhere Companions can be used in a traditional standalone 3-way application or can be taken to the next level and used as a smart solution with the My Leviton app. The Anywhere Dimmer and Switch Companions match any existing Decora devices for a seamless, professional appearance.
Installation and setup is a snap! Use up to three Anywhere Companions per Decora Smart device and install by either adhering directly to any interior wall surface or screwed into an existing wall box. No holes to cut or wires to run.. |

The Anywhere Companion devices do not require a hardwired bridge, panel or hub for installation They run on a long lasting CR2025 battery that has an estimated 5-year battery life and is replaceable.
Wire-Free Anywhere Companions are meant to be used to provide additional lighting control wherever you need such as the base of a staircase, to add a switch for those who cannot reach a typical wall switch, open areas with multiple entrances, or to control a lamp from a wall switch.
