Expanding Our e-Commerce Service
“E-commerce” to most evokes the activity of electronically buying, selling and tracking sales which has largely become a necessity for almost every business. To help support this activity, Leviton is expanding our offering to our distributor partners. Now our channel partners can easily add any or all of Leviton’s product marketing content into their e-commerce platform. This adds a whole new dimension to e-commerce capabilities. Every bit of Leviton product content that is on Leviton.com – including product images, specifications, brochures, videos, cross-reference information and even meta tags – can be syndicated to every partner distributor’s website.
Leviton has recently partnered with a leading service provider specifically catering to distributors, to provide all our partners who sign up for this service to receive enhanced product data, customized to their specific needs. With thousands of parts and SKUs for the myriad of manufacturers, distributors are challenged to finding the right content for their specific platform and audience. Every distributor’s system handles data somewhat differently and their product mix varies by territory, some locations might be focused strictly on the residential market, or some on industrial or some include a little bit for all markets, including commercial and even networking.
Now content can be customized for each distributor location as DDS works directly with our distributors to listen to their needs and align the data with those needs. Each distributor who signs up for this free service has access to everything on the Leviton website so that they can then offer improved and focused information and graphics to their customers. All the digital content that’s out there can be funneled, centralized and automated the way that they want it to be ingested. “The best part to this new service is that it allows Leviton to be highly flexible to the needs of each customer independently,” states Brett Serxner, Director of Distribution of Marketing at Leviton. “This service becomes a differentiator for our distribution partners,” he adds.
